- 1 pkg active dry yeast
- ¼ cup warm water
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2 TBSP sugar
- 1 TBSP minced onion
- 1 TBSP butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp dill weed
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- 1 egg, unbeaten
- 2 ¼ – 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
Soften yeast in water. Combine in bowl – cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill, egg.
Beat well. Add yeast and mix. Then add enough flour, a little at a time, to dough.
Beat again. Let rise to double in bulk in a warm place. Stir down. Place in a greasedbaking/bread pan. Let rise to double in bulk again.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Brush top with butter and sprinkle with salt.
